Find Out About Sarah's Law

We’ve teamed up with Cambridgeshire Constabulary to help promote an important scheme that aims to protect children.

Sarah’s Law allows you to check whether someone who has access to a child poses a risk of harm to them.
As a parent or carer, we know you want to do the right thing and protect your children. This free discretionary scheme is one way you can do this.
In the coming weeks listen out for adverts about the scheme being broadcast on Star Radio and interviews with police officers who work in child protection.

Detective Inspector Sherrie Nash said: “I’m delighted we have been able to team up with Star Radio to promote Sarah’s Law.

“We all have a responsibility to protect children in our communities and this scheme is one way you can do that.

“When somebody new comes into your life and has access to your children it’s important to check that there’s nothing in their past which means they could be posing a risk. You don’t need to feel uncomfortable or guilty about asking us to check – because as a parent, you naturally want to do the right thing and protect your child.”
