The Moët & Chandon July Festival at Newmarket

 

Enjoy three days of world class horseracing, paired with unrivalled fashion food and entertainment from 7th to 9th July.

The eyes of the world descend to the picturesque July Course for the Moët & Chandon July Festival. Running from Thursday to Saturday, starting with Ladies Day on 7 July, followed by Festival Friday on 8 July and closing with Darley July Cup Day on Saturday 9 July.

The festival is packed full of Group racing, with the feature race the Group One Darley July Cup on the Saturday. Run over six furlongs, the July Cup is one of the most valuable and prestigious sprint races in the world and horses often travel from Australia and America to stake their claim.

On Ladies Day, The Style Awards will return for 2022 as we look to crown the best dressed racegoer on course with a fantastic array of prizes to be won!  

  • Ladies Day – Thursday 7th July

    Ladies Day at Newmarket is the hottest ticket of the summer. Visitors come from far and wide to enjoy the thrilling racing, epic entertainment and of course fabulous fashion.

    The seven-race card is headlined by the Group Two Princess of Wales's Stakes over a mile and a half and boasts some high profile previous winners.

    The Style Awards will return for 2022 as we look to crown the best dressed racegoer on course with a fantastic array of prizes to be won!

  • Festival Friday – Friday 8th July

    Festival Friday is headlined by a top level contest in the form of the Group One Tattersalls Falmouth Stakes for fillies and mares over a mile.

    The race offers the first high profile opportunity for the top three year old fillies to test themselves against older rivals and is regularly one to savour. A day of thrilling racing at Newmarket!

  • Darley July Cup Day 2022 – Saturday 9th July

    The final day of The July Festival is all about the Darley July Cup – the pinnacle of the July Course’s Flat Season.

    This Group 1 Race is one of the most valuable and prestigious sprint races in the world and the winner is often acknowledged to be the best sprinter in Europe.

    The day is also eternally popular with families who flock to the course’s relaxed garden enclosure for quality time together.
