After eleven years, Cambridge City FC are preparing for their first match in a new stadium.
Cambridge City FC played at Milton Road for 91 years until the 2012/13 season, when the land was sold to housing developers.
Since then, the Lilywhites have been sharing a ground with fellow non-league St Ives Town and Histon.
The first match at the new FWD/IP Community Stadium will be against Tilbury, in the "Pitching in" Isthmian North Division, on Saturday 30 November 2024, with gates at 1pm and kick-off at 3pm.
South Cambridgeshire District Council announced plans for a new 3,000-capacity stadium in Sawston in 2014.
A local resident won an appeal to overturn the planning decision, citing a technicality in the decision-making process by the planning committee.
However, the football club resubmitted the application in 2018, and was regranted permission.
Former Premier League striker and First Team Manager, Jamie Cureton:
"We’re thrilled to be here with Cambridge City FC.
"From our first meeting with the board, we were impressed by their vision and ambition to see this club rise to the higher levels of non-league football and beyond.
"I hope my experience in the game can help bring this vision to life."
