Cambridge's Open Air Ice Rink Cancelled

It's just been confirmed that North Pole Cambridge won't be running this year.

The organisers have confirmed to Star Radio this year's event is cancelled due to the current uncertainty.

A much-loved feature during the run up to Christmas, the event traditionally includes an open-air ice rink, a family funfair and food outlets.

Customers who have already purchased advanced tickets will be refunded in due course.

In a statement, the organisers Arena Group said:

After careful monitoring and consultation with Cambridge City Council and having weighed up a number of factors, we have come to the disappointing conclusion that it is in the best interests of our customers for us to cancel North Pole, Cambridge.

We are devastated to share this news with you.

We appreciate your customer and support and cannot wait to return to Parker's Piece in 2021.

We will be refunding customers as soon as possible.

We are so sorry for the disappointment that this will cause and thank you for your understanding.
