Astronaut Tim Peake had to postpone his Cambridge visit because of a "significant leak".
Cambridge Corn Exchange said it was caused by "adverse weather conditions", with the city experiencing heavy rain.
The venue is now working with contractors to complete repairs, and staff said customers should assume their performance is going ahead, unless told otherwise.
Tim Peake's talk has been moved to Sunday 13 October and the original tickets will remain valid.
