Investigators said that a major lorry fire on the M11 near Cambridge was an accident.
At 5.33am on Friday 29 November 2024, fire crews from Sawston, Cottenham, Cambridge, Royston and Burwell, along with a water carrier from Newmarket, were called to a lorry fire on northbound M11.
It was between Junction 11, Trumpington and Junction 10, Barton, and saw the road shut for several hours for recovery work.
Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters used hose reels and small tools to extinguish the fire before returning to their stations by 7.50am.
