Defender Kelland Watts has joined Cambridge United on a 2-year deal.
The 24-year-old is the club's first signing of the 2024 summer transfer window.
A product of the Newcastle United Academy, Watts has spent much of his time as a young professional out on loan in the EFL, having already made over 100 senior appearances for the likes of Stevenage, Plymouth Argyle and Wigan Athletic.
His one Premier League appearance came against Liverpool in 2020.
Cambridge United head coach Garry Monk:
"I am really pleased to welcome Kell to the club.
"He is a great character, a fantastic footballer and he will add a lot of quality and competition to the team.
"I am looking forward to working with him and I am sure our supporters will offer him a warm welcome as he begins a new chapter in his career."
