Terms and Conditions and Competion Details

This competition is subject to Star Radio's usual rules which you can find here. Additionally, Entrants need to be 18 or over and should live in the Star Radio (Cambridgeshire) FM and DAB coverage area. Entries are taken online and the ultimate winner will be notified by phone. The competition opens at 1700 on 18/11/24 and closes at 0900 on 12/12/24. The prize is a weekend break in London for two with overnight accomodation in a minimum 3 star hotel, a helicopter tour over London and £250 spending money, valid for 12 months after winning. The prize will be arranged by Star Radio and fulfiled by external partner(s). The winner may alternatively elect to take a payment of £1000 in order to arrange their own prize experience as desired. Each week, an entrant is drawn and brought to air. This contestant is invited to answer three questions against the clock. If successful, the entrant will then be in the grand draw at the end of the promotion period. Once the promotion comes to an end, we invite the successful contestants to take part in a grand finale. They’ll join the presenter on the line, who will have a box of model helicopters, one of which will contain a yellow one. Each one is numbered, and the finalists will be invited to choose a number. The finalist who chooses the number corresponding to the yellow helicopter will be declared the winner. These finalists must be available to participate in the grand final at 7pm on 12/12/24. The final will be pre-recorded and will be conducted via a video call, therefore appropriate equipment (such as a laptop or smartphone) will be needed to participate. If for any reason the finalist is unable or unwilling to participate in the grand final, they will eliminated from the competition.
