Whether you have a soft spot for your favourite bakery's buns, love the refreshments in your local cafe, or can't resist recommending a particular restaurant - now's your chance to have your say and give credit where it's due.

Back for a second year, you can now vote in the Velvet Food & Drink Awards - proudly supported by Star Radio. There are twelve categories to choose from:

• Farm Shop/Deli
• Pub/Bar
• Tearoom/Coffee Shop
• Street Food/Pop-up
• Restaurant
• Chef
• Food Hero
• Sustainability Hero
• Equality Hero
• Hospitality Hero
• Community Hero

Any business or individual working within Velvet's circulation area (shown in the map below) is eligible and nominating is easy. Tap here to fill in the simple form - and tell us what makes your nomination(s) stand out from the culinary crowd. There's even a chance to win dinner and drinks for two by entering - so what are you waiting for?

Voting is now open until midnight on 3rd May 2024. Then, the three businesses or individuals with the most nominations per category will be shortlisted and winners chosen by a panel of independent, industry-expert judges. See more about the judges here.

Together with the event's sponsors, the winners will be announced at a special champagne-and-canape reception at Newmarket's historic Jockey Club Rooms during the afternoon of Monday 10th June.
