Residents across Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire will now be able to get news directly from the Assistant Chief Constable for Joint Protective Services (JPS) via Twitter.
ACC Paul Fullwood has been in charge of the JPS Command since April 2017. The units under JPS are as follows:
- Armed Policing Unit
- Cameras, Tickets and Collisions
- Civil Contingencies Unit
- Dog Unit
- Major Crime Unit
- Operational Planning Support Unit
- Roads Policing Unit
- ANPR
- Forensic Collision Investigation Unit
- Scientific Services Unit
ACC Fullwood will be tweeting under @ACC_Fullwood.
He said: “Officers and staff throughout JPS offer specialist skills to support the work of local policing to make the three counties we serve even safer.
“Every day the units are making positive arrests, carrying out proactive operations, assisting investigations into some of the most serious crimes which occur in our communities and plan responses to major incidents.
“I’m really keen to be able to highlight this work and social media is a great way to let people know what is happening.”
