Man who died in Cambridge named

The man who sadly died following a stabbing in Cambridge has been formally identified.

James Cromwell, 27, of Lady Margaret Road, Cambridge, died of his injuries in hospital following the incident which took place in the Stretten Avenue area of Cambridge at around 10.40pm on Friday, June 30.

A 25-year-old man was arrested this morning on suspicion of murder and remains in custody.

A 26-year-old man from Cambridge who was previously arrested in connection with the incident was released under investigation for crimes unconnected to this incident.

An investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about the incident should contact police on 101 quoting incident number 704 of Friday, June 30.
